After leaving the museum, we boarded the electric shuttles and headed straight toward the coast. While the archaeological site is a must-see if you’ve never been, this time we headed straight for El Faro <em>(The Lighthouse)</em>.</p><p>Crafted from stone to resemble a traditional lighthouse, this towering structure rests on a dramatic cliff right at the water’s edge, rising nearly 80 feet above sea level. The views from the top are simply breathtaking: an endless sea of green jungle on one side and the brilliant turquoise of the Caribbean on the other. It’s the perfect vantage point to catch a sunrise over the waves or watch a golden sunset melt into the jungle.</p><p>Note: <em>Inside the park, you’ll also find the Central 360° Lookout—an 80-foot steel tower topped with wooden viewing platforms, climbed via 130 steps.
